Anyways, a lot has happened since my last post, for instance, I got a Facebook! Yes, you did read that correctly! And I must say that despite my effort to try not to become addicted to it, I have failed! My will was not strong enough! NOOOOOOOOOO!
I find myself checking my Facebook a couple times a day, which isn't too bad, but I wanted to be the one person with a Facebook who could look at their own reflection in their computer screen and honestly say to themselves: "I'm turning the computer off now and I will not turn it on again until it is absolutely necessary in a situation where the computer will save my life!".
If people actually made that promise to themselves, the most likely outcome would be them attempting to go outside and then practically disintegrating from the light of the sun they haven't seen in weeks. And that would lead to a ridiculous excuse: "Oh, its absolutely necessary to use my computer now to check which brand of sunscreen is the strongest so I won't spontaneously combust when I go outside...;)"
What has happened to our society?! We can't stay off the internet for even a day! I admit it, I google pretty much everything now. Just recently I googled: "What is the plural of platypus?". Even though that's a pretty valuable question, maybe I should just get off my lazy butt and look in a dictionary....or go find a platypus and ask him!
Be proactive people! (And I don't mean go out and buy the acne medicine proactive...though clean skin is happy skin!) GET OFF THE COUCH AND GO SEE THE WORLD! Live a little bit!
Don't waste your life away in front of a computer screen because that's not living. With that satisfactory mini-rant, I'm going to follow my own advice and get off the computer because here is the world that's waiting outside for me:
